The above, plus white upright dog ears and a long white fluffy dog tail. Her Dreamer outfit is primarily black with both white and neon-green accents; shoes are a striking ruby red. Her Dreamer weapon is a rifle: clear crystal stock filled with neon-green sand and chartreuse flecks, gold barrel and trigger mechanism. It fires bursts of vivid green energy.

If anything is between her and her target, it is roughly pushed aside but not damaged. (Anything that can't be moved aside and isn't the intended target will simply block the beam though.)

BACKGROUND

- Jade's parents were tech people, responsible for, not necessarily the creation, but rather the refinement of quite a few modern day gadgets. (So like, there's no "Harley brand toaster" but there are doubtless many toasters that are better for their use of Harley brand components. "Harley" is a known name of quality among the more technically-minded of older tech enthusiasts.)
- But when she's still a baby, Jade's parents die and she is adopted by her eccentric paternal grandfather. (Decades prior, he was also a fairly well-known big game hunter.)
- Grandpa Jake Harley is wealthy enough to own a private island in the Pacific, and shortly after adopting Jade he moves out there full time. (His house is full of modern day gadgets as well as taxidermy trophies from his past hunts; however the man does not own a cell phone.)
- From the age of realizing meat actually comes from cute little animals, Jade's been a vegetarian. She's also a fairly lucid dreamer from a young age, and comes close to Awakening more than once.
- Jade is homeschooled by Grandpa on the island, with some limited internet socialization. She's very bright, and actually takes a couple college courses online. Grandpa also teaches her marksmanship, and she's a good shot, though she refuses to actually go hunting with him.
- When she's 14 Grandpa dies of a heart attack during a storm. The storm also fries their router. Jade is left alone with their pet dog Becquerel.
- Jade does alright supporting herself off their vegetable garden, but she realizes Bec needs meat, and reluctantly puts her markmanship to use to hunt for him when they run out of dogfood.
- Bec is actually a pretty old dog by the time Jade reaches 15, and he dies of natural causes.
- Now alone, Jade is heartbroken, and this situation quickly spawns a nightmare in her local Dream Sphere. She Awakens easily, and with some work is able to fend it off.
- Jade spends the next year-ish spending as much of her time in the Dream Sphere as she can, exploring and only infrequently meeting other Dreamers due to her own remote location but always eager to socialize when she does. She quickly learns how to 'pull her own weight' in fighting situations.
- Close to her 16th birthday, it finally comes to the attention of folks at the Dreamer Union that there is a decently talented Dreamer who might be worth recruiting... but more importantly she's a teenager stranded on an island alone somewhere. Rescue operations are undertaken.
- Her grandfather's lawyer, who was not aware the man had died (look he dropped off the radar for years at a time constantly, his whole life, Jake was just like that!) is contacted.
- Arrangements are made for Jade to go to Yumemigaoka, the nearest major Dreamer Union location. (She is also something of an heiress, given her family's overall wealth; but given Grandpa's legal status things are somewhat confused in this issue. His poor lawyer is still working on untangling this mess.)
- ~Sometime in December~ Jade arrives in Yumemigaoka! She is also determined to never be without a cell phone again, maintaining a line of contact with others is vital.
